What is My Tree?
My Tree is a children's book designed to help early readers build confidence through rhyme, repetition, picture clues, and predictable patterns. It was written to make learning to read fun and approachable for young children.
My Tree Your Impact is the movement inspired by the book. It encourages people to ask an important question:
How much is enough?
The project is built around the idea that as our success grows, our generosity should grow as well.
As more copies of My Tree are sold, the percentage of profits donated to charity increases. The goal is to eventually reach a point where 100% of profits are donated to organizations fighting child trafficking and exploitation.
Yes, I make money on every copy of the book for now. I also donate a portion of profit from every book to charities. As I sell more books the amount of money I keep goes down and the amount I give goes up. You can see the progressive giving model on the giving page as well as the plan for future giving.
There are several ways to participate:
Buy the book
Follow mytreebook on Instagram
Encourage conversations about generosity
Help spread awareness of the organizations supported
Every step helps the mission grow.
Donations from this project support organizations working to combat child trafficking and exploitation, including:
A21
THORN
The Exodus Road
These organizations work globally to rescue victims, prevent trafficking, and support survivors.
The movement began after hearing discussions about important charitable missions that required public donations—even though some of the individuals promoting them had the resources to fund those missions themselves.
That led to a simple question:
How much is enough?
Instead of asking others to give first, this project was built to increase giving as success grows.
Yes. Schools can participate in a special reading program where the book is shared with classrooms. Students may purchase copies at a school rate, and if enough orders are placed, the author will visit classrooms to read the story and sign books.
Rooted in Thankfulness is actually not related to the book. It is related to the my tree your impact mission though. I have a different giving model for the journal though. Instead of a progressive giving model, I am giving 30% of the profits form each journal sold to local school groups and churches. After 1 million journals have sold, I will again be giving 100% of the profits away.
